4/21/15 - PVP in Tos! Walking Dead goes orange.

There was some PvP happenings in Tos today after Electricity RPK'd some poor guy building out in the wilds. The victory was short lived, however, as Cor Myr took her down outside the gates of Tos.

### The notorious murderer, Electricity, has been killed by Cor Myr.

Of course this sparked her to bring Sinji Sojourn out, probably trying to pick up the nearly 100 purples she dropped =P. While dispelling her illusionary form Walking Dead decided to side with Infinity and blind me.

Fortunately they were intent on what was going outside so I was able to get back into Fams after the surprise attack. We battled in the streets for a while against Walking Dead, Savil, and then Savil as Poison Ivy and Ava Adore ultimately logging the four characters.

It wasn't too long before they were at it again, probably still a bit sore about taking a death. Walking Dead, Poison Ivy, and Leviathan started mucking about. I joined Hustler and Judge Dredd in the streets for some heated 3v3 action. (or maybe 3v2.5 since I'm not all that built lol).

It was a very good fight, but we ended up logging Poison Ivy and Leviathan, with Poison Ivy taking a drop penalty at the end. Walking Dead made it into East End and the Adventure Hall.

As the night dragged on we had one more skirmish as Electricity/Savil/Sinji brought out a 4th character, Sky Ruby, and managed to get the drop on Hustler in the streets along with WD. I was out of regs at this point so I stupidly went outside to try and help... unbuffed lol. Against 2 Qor players that isn't a good idea ;).

Leviathan joined in again against JD and myself and our half-hearted defense was overrun. Hustler called it a night and went to bed, and I chaliced my butt out of there =P. So we ended up taking a couple free pens to finish off the night. Should have just quit while we were ahead right!

All-in-all excellent PvP. A fairly even match up that ended with 1 kill, 1 drop pen, and 4 or 5 free pens for us, and 3 or 4 free pens for them.

Good game all.

4/19/15 - Player Run tourney concludes with Lady Venom as the champion!

Serpentiel, also Lilly', ran a tourney yesterday with several combatants duking it out for prizes. It ran fairly early so unfortunately I was still sleeping during most of it! I did arrive on the scene at the end in time to get a few screenies of the players that attended.

Our Host!
Some of the combatants
Mayhem makes a special appearance!
And the winner is.....
Congrats to all those who participated and won prizes! I know Dr. Vengence (spelling of the name is correct here =P) won a 5 sided prism, but I missed the grand prize ;). Thanks Serpentiel for running the tourney! Hopefully I can be up in time for the next one =P.

4/19/15 - Invasion in the Streets of Tos sparks PvP!

Early Sunday morning we got some unexpected action when an Avar tribe made a raid on the city of Tos. A shaman opened a portal it seems and several chieftains sprang through. Luckily we were on the scene to put down these barbarians.

Along with these brutes came a horde of Xeo's. 3 people got logged (including myself lol) in the first wave of about 6. Do not try to tank Xeo's in robes. Yeah...

Anyway it wasn't long before we got this under control, and some nice heartstones to show for it. Start decorating those rooms people! (hint hint)

During this event CarlosDanger made an appearance, and was punished for his recent harassment spree with a few deaths and a log.

Infinity took advantage of the Chaos to launch an attack and initially logged me and killed poor Maxit, but numbers were on our side and we got our people back online and logged a few of their hitters. Gucci Mane La Flare made a special guest appearance for long enough to get himself killed too.

Thanks for the event, and thanks Infinity for some pvp!

4/18/15 - Trouble still brews on the horizon as the Cult of Qor grows!

Minding my own business in the Kraanan temple, listening to the mellow tunes of one of my favorite bards, practicing the spells of the warrior god. This is how I planned to spend my Saturday night (no comments please.... =P), but the Cult of Qor had other plans!

The first stone troll was an oddity. The second stone troll was a concern. It wasn't until about the 20th that I thought to myself "Self.... I think you'd better call for help". Thankfully I was able to isolate the orc wizards that were causing the sudden disturbance, and after putting them down I was confronted by an Orc Pit Boss. Killing this creature gave me a few inkies and chased away the remaining stone trolls.

Mayhem let the server know that the cult of Qor is growing, and we may soon even find ourselves faced with a new faction (what??). We will see what is in store for us in this ongoing event I have dubbed : The Path to Malumnea .

4/18/15 - Thrasher Crypt invaded!

Ok ok, so it has taken me a couple days to get back to post all of the stuff that has been going on this weekend... but come on , I've maxed out like 10 different spells from 20% =P.

Anyway.... it was not long after Mayhem activated the improve bonus that he started tempting us away from our quiet meditations with more fun!

Infinity was down in the crypts inviting people to thrash (Yes I admit I was dubious about the prospect myself. Trapped in a hole with Ken and no way out? YIKES! =P) and suddenly found themselves surrounded by Necromancers and Dark Angels.

I couldn't resist the urge, so headed down there myself to help clear the place out. The spawn times were insanity unleashed, and I got logged a few times (How ironic is it that Infinity helps me get back online for once!?) but in the end we cleared the place. No special drops, but as Mayhem said ... the Dark Angel was not there to reward us, but to punish us!

I did gain a few hp and some blind weapons out of the chest though, and we had a lot of fun thrashing. Thanks Mayhem for the event, and thanks Infinity for opening up the thrashers and.... you know... not trying to kill me. =P

4/18/15 - DOUBLE SKILL/SPELL ADVANCEMENT WEEKEND ON 101!

You heard me correctly. Mayhem has pumped up the volume on 101 with all the increased activity lately!

Skill and Spell rate improvements have been boosted by a HUGE 200% for the rest of the weekend!! That is DOUBLE the advancement rate for all your %'s!

So what are you waiting for!? Get online and use up all those regs you've been hording for months. Imp those nasty spells that are over difficult to improve, or squeeze out those last %'s over softcap!

I'd sit here and rant and rave some more... but I have characters to build!

HAIL MAYHEM! Hail 101!

4/16/2015 - A Devout Servant of Qor runs amok in Jasper and Cor Noth! Escapes the Hunters.

In a late night event orchestrated by Kernal Klink, the Devout Servant of Qor was spotted running through Jasper by Walking Dead and KOS!. I was also hunting her on Fahris, and ran into them as she tried to escape into the Forest of Farol.

We tested our strength against her formidable powers. Gaze, Fireball, Blind, Hold, Vamp Drain, Acid Splash, Enfeeble, and Firewall were all part of her arsenal. We got the upper hand before her vile mistress succored her, bringing her to safety in Jasper.

The call went out, and several hunters cornered the witch in Wryn's keep, the perfect arena for a bloody fight. A couple of the combatants were forced to flee their bodies as she unleashed sorceries upon them.

Eventually she was driven out of the keep, and once again fled. This time we rallied the entire realm against her, and were ready for battle when the disturbances began in Cor Noth. Cor Myr, not sure if there is any relation there, gave battle at the main gates, but when others began arriving our quarry took refuge in the city, ironically relying on the protection Shal'ille provides in the Adventure Hall to evade her pursuers.

Calling upon her goddess, the Servant drew living beasts of earth and stone into the once quiet streets of the city. In the confusion of the animated statues rising from the ground, the witch tossed a bag of heartstones on the ground. As you can imagine... well it got a bit more wild from there.

Why am I so terrible at screenshots.... anyway that is a xeo behind the statue =P.

After dealing with the flurry of Xeo's we climbed the clock tower for a better vantage point on the action.

Our bowers took position near the clock tower, ready for anything... or so they thought, but drunk bowers!?
Shai'tan was over there looking for crusty bread while we were preparing for an attack... typical.
As the clock neared the midnight toll we braced ourselves for another attack. Sure enough, spiders began scaling the walls of the Adventure Hall, and the dark energies of Qor caused them to mutate into Queen Spiders right before our eyes! <screenshot missing.... I suck>

After dealing with this threat, we noticed some foulness in the waters below. I took off to check the local water supplies... but was obviously a bit overzealous. The gods sent a message for everyone to calm me down 0_o, so I came back to Cor Noth.

Not a moment too soon, because out of the murky goo that had once been a pristine pool at the center of Cor Noth came.... a slightly more solid murky goo! A slime, empowered by Qor, emerged from the water. After a long fight it split into multiple parts and we were able to beat the blob into a flat puddle of stuff.

The Devout Follower of Qor, red after killing some poor school boy outside Marion, hid out behind Solomon during the fight.

We finally caught a glimpse of the wretched creature unmasked! Seeing the necromancer's face for the first time. Blue bitch!

She made her escape after that, afraid to take the fight to the hunters this night. We will get you though, Servant of the dark mistress!

Special thanks to Kernal Klink for running the event, and Mayhem for making an appearance as well!
Hail!

Thanks to all who came out and made the RP fun. We are sure to see the Devout Follower of Qor again soon as this event continues to unfold. Be online and be ready!!

4/15/2015 - More PvP as The Infinity logs randoms outside Barloque. PK killed in the crossfire!

More PvP Happens on server 101 when Jaxon logged Enjolras outside the gates of Barloque. Moraine Sedai logged him quickly after, getting Enjolras to safety.

I arrived on the scene with Fahris to try and hold down the ghost, but soon Fat Boy and Machiavelli arrived and... well... it wasn't pretty unfortunately. Can you say 1 hp anyone? Guess I should build Fahris some more lol.

Thankfully I had Dark to fall back on, and Red Devils put together a team to push them back into Barloque and allowing me to get online and clean out Fahris' drawers.  After a quick firefight in the streets we scored a kill on Savil, who had joined the fray in the meantime.

I did have a screenshot of this.... but I apparently overwrote it =(. Ah Well... it basically looked like this.

 ### The notorious Murderer, Savil, has been killed by Cor Myr.

Now imagine a dead body. You are there.

After this we intercepted Poison Ivy coming from Tos for another log. UNFORTUNATELY I think this kinda upset The Infinity... because they came in with 4 characters, ultimately logging our team. Again...  Fahris needs more cowbell.

Well, after that we decided to quit while we were ahead, and took our free pens for the day. Of course when I logged on Fahris again later they all jumped on and poured out of Tos like I hit a bee hive with a rock. Thankfully I was pretty much figuring that would happen, and ran like a little girl. I think they got Neru Bow Fever.... come on guys... I practically bond my reagents much less anything worth over 10k =P.

Good fight to The Infinity. Respect for taking the battle to us and avenging your comrade. Savil don't let it get you down. Death happens, especially when you have the integrity not to use auto-log bot programs :). Thanks for the good pvp.

4/15/15 - Infestations hit Meridian 59, A servant of Qor Makes his debut, WANTED!: Criminals against the realm!

Things are heating up on server 101 as the event that has spanned the last week begins boiling, ready to overflow with action and loot for all you event enthusiasts out there =).

Earlier today an infestation began, starting outside the Princess' castle and spanning through every zone up to the Ancient place. There were Mutant ants, Scorpions, Spiders, Trolls, Stone Trolls, and even the Frogmen took a shot at invading Bei Naq's island! The giant rats poured out of the sewers in Barloque to start us off...

Thank you Mithres for cleaning up these zones with me!

All of this was followed up by the appearance of A Devout Follower of Qor, who used to be a disciple of Jala. They will be coming for us soon, so be READY. He wields a blue hold scimitar... so whoever brings him to justice will be certain to get a nice prize. Beware trying to take him on though, he wields the power of the Xeo's, so he will be blinding, holding, and possibly swapping, shattering, and earthquake as well.

Not only this, but an Escaped Convict! is still on the loose with a stash of special wands. If you see either of these criminals, be cautious!

4/14/15 - PVP Action around Tos!

Had some pvp action today as The Infinity took to the Streets of Tos, their "home turf" if you will. Electricity opened the gambit by logging Bud Heavy in the streets. Red Devils and company returned fire with a surprise attack, freeing up Bud and logging the Infinity hitter.

After that it started getting hot and heavy when The Infinity poured out of Fams, logging a couple of our players and putting us on the defensive.

Not willing to play their game, we took the fight into East Ende and finally to the Outskirts, ending the exchange by logging 2 of their colored players and one of their shielders.

Good pvp guys!

4/13/15 - Kara'hol strikes back!

After the big event Sunday the server received another pleasant surprise Monday with a continuation of the event in the orc warrens! Kara'hol returned, heralding an infestation in a normally Tranquil Place just off the entrance to the caves.

The place was packed with thrashers, lupoggs, Daemon skeletons, and dark angels as a dozen people came to join in battling off the horde. There were some deaths this time, and more than a few logs as the difficulty of this event spiked to new levels! A lot of teamwork going on with Shal'ille players going through entire stacks of herbs keeping people healed and cured from the mass of thrashers piled up at the zone in.

A lupogg King also made a special appearance during this, but he didn't stand much of a chance against my hold neru! ;)

Once we finally down the pogg king and his many minions, we were able to kill the first Dark Angel.Among the huge amount of regs there was also a special blue mace that yours truly manage to snatch up with my sticky fingers =P as well as a box that contained shrunken head mask, and a mummy mask. These items went to Icon and Cor Myr.

After that there were probably 5 more Dark Angels! A huge battle. A 3 sided prism, a skull mask, some herald shields, and a ton of regs dropped from these additional beasts.

Once those were dealt with, you would have thought that would be enough for one day. NOPE. No sooner did we get to stock back up on reagents then the call went out from Bourgeois Castle that the Princess was under siege by a horde of golems, stone trolls, and xeos!

I'm not one to miss the fun, so I headed right over and started downing me some of these difficult creatures.

Hi Gas Mask.

Oh... and a Yeti. =P

We headed into the banquet hall and found it infested with xeo's and Queen spiders. Gas Mask and I were first through the breach, and made us some spider egg omelets. Not before a spider queen took care of its own business, though.

Yeah, the spider queen got that one. Whooped it too... the xeo didn't even get it to slightly wounded. Serves it right for standing back here and earthquaking Chromium to death =P.

A couple mules were harmed in the making of this event.

Once we finally cleared the infestation, and got several Heartstones for our trouble, we received a little teaser of some future fun when a convict escaped the castle with quite a bit of loot!

We had to go mourn the loss of some newbies that lost their lives in the chaos, so the event stopped there, but I for one am looking forward to the continuation of this epic event chain =).

Thanks to everyone who showed up and made the event a success, and a special thanks to Mayhem for putting the time into creating it. Wish I had gotten some screenies of the first part... but honestly I was so busy just trying to stay alive in that madhouse I couldn't think of much else lol.

To anyone who missed out, don't worry I'm sure Mayhem has a lot more up his sleeve ;). Join in the fun, 101 is a blast.

4/12/15 - Trouble in the orc warrens, Kara'hol makes an appearance!

Another banner day for M59, as deep in Obfal's Sepulcher, at the shrine just outside the Spring of Vitality, a dark ritual began to take place. Impetus was there to witness it, and soon over ten people showed up to take part in the fray.

As we arrived Kriipa, shadowbeasts, groundworms, and orc pit bosses flooded the caves, no doubt drawn by the mysterious egg and the energy surrounding it.

After clearing some of the monsters, a Dark Angel arrived, and then another! Dispatching these foes wasn't easy, but with 10 adventurer's handy we were able to make short work of them, but it did not stop there! A few more Dark Angels showed up at the shrine, and we had a fight on our hands.

Fortunately I was there on Fahris with my trusty hold Riija sword! We were able to put them down.

After this about 10 orc pit bosses or more flooded the area! Some people got logged, but no one died thankfully =). After it was all clear Kara'hol rewarded us with a reagent drop, and some more goodies!

Grats to those who received masks! I got a skull and an ant, and Elizabeth got a nice fey mask!

Thanks again to Mayhem for the fun event! Lots of goodies and teamwork to be had. As more people play and show up for these Mayhem has been putting a lot of effort into making larger events, better prizes, and just all around epic MMORPG shenanigans! So come one come all and join in, we are having a great time in M59!

4/10/15 - 3 Adventurer's quest across Meridian 59

DarkEternis stood before the forest shrine, watching as the servant of Qor raised the corpse of another willing sacrifice. He struck down the zombie with a few quick strokes, as he had done more times than he wished to count. Blood soaked the earth, making the air taste metallic.  The entire business made him sick, but the money was good, and he was not paid to have opinions. He was paid for his sword, and his silence, nothing more.

The necromancer abruptly left off his ritual, looking around warily. He tossed a bag of gold to Dark's feet, nodded, and then turned and disappeared through the forest. A cold chill went up the man's spine as he picked up the bag, which had already soaked completely through with blood. He snorted as he watched the thick, viscous liquid drip from the sack. Blood money indeed, he thought bitterly.

The deep Forest of Farol went deathly quiet, a dread silence falling over the peaceful wood. Dark frowned and looked about him, but saw nothing but piles of melted flesh, bleached bones, and the silent sentinel statue that was LadyPhoenix. The sparse moonlight through the trees played shadows across the statue, making the usually benevolent face seem to glare balefully at him. He turned away quickly, not wanting to bear the imagined scrutiny.

He hefted his heavy pack across his back and made to leave the clearing when he heard a noise coming from above and behind him. He looked up into the trees, listening. The sound of rushing air and beating wings came to him louder and louder by the second. His eyes went wide as the entire canopy suddenly exploded into a maelstrom of shattered wood, flying leaves, and blowing detritus.

Amongst the tumult Dark could make out the huge winged form of what could only be one of the dreaded Dark Angels. They were Qor's most vile minions, no doubt attracted by the blood rituals performed in one of Meridian 59's holiest sites.

The warrior barely rolled out of the way of a fireball that crashed down where he had stood just moments before. Red, acrid steam billowed around him as he came up into a crouch, calling upon his patron god Kraanan for protection. The Dark Angel screamed its frustration, a horrible sound that was like metal scraping on metal. DarkEternis had to resist the urge to put his gauntlets over his ears. Instead he charged, raises a shield against another blast of fire from the creature.

A look of what might have been surprise spread across the beast's alien features as Dark closed the distance in moments. His sword, empowered by the blessings of Kraanan, lashed out with the speed of a snake, only barely being intercepted by the huge staff the twisted Angel was carrying. He knew he could not let the creature regain the initiative, so he pressed it viciously, striking again and again in precision strokes honed by years of training. The inhuman speed of the creature is all that kept it alive as the sword slid to the side, scoring hits that seemed to only enrage it.

Fire exploded from the staff, engulfing the desperate warrior. He staggered back, the magical protection of his god bearing the brunt of the attack. Even so, he smelled the telltale sign of burned hair and the heat of his armor pressing against him was nearly unbearable. He could not take many blows such as that one.

As Dark righted himself he saw the abomination crouch, readying itself to spring from the ground and take to the air. If it was able to do so, it could rain fire down upon him at its leisure. He let our a snarl and leaped through the air towards the creature just as it began to make its own jump. With an overhead chop he came down on the center of the staff, the firm grip that the angel had on the weapon was enough to make it falter and fall off balance, but not enough to keep the weapon in its hands. The mystical conduit thumped hard to the ground, an impact that heralded the doom of its foul wielder.

The Dark Angel screamed again, this time in terror as DarkEternis' sword struck true once, twice, and then a third time. It held up its arms to shield itself, but to no avail. With a swift kick he set the beast on the ground, and as it struggled to rise, he put all the force of his momentum into a whirling attack, striking the head from the creature's body in one blow. The corpse tumbled to the ground, its black blood oozing into the crimson earth.

Dark stood there for a time, breathing heavily. He moved to wipe his brow but saw his arms were covered in the gore of the thing he had killed. Instead he just sighed and shook his head. Looking down he saw the creature had been carrying several items. He tore the satchel from around the crumpled form and then plucked all of the intact feathers from its wings. They were filled with magical energy after all, and mages were always willing to pay a premium for such rare reagents.

He grunted as he tried to shoulder the now bulging pack, taking a few steps that sank deep into the soggy ground. Sighing again he took off his heavy scale armor and tossed it to the ground. Without the bulky mail he was able to just barely carry the load.

The warrior and sometimes mercenary left the clearing, giving a snort of wry amusement as he again picked up the sack of gold that the necromancer had left for him. He had certainly earned his pay this night. Just a small ritual he need not concern himself with, the man had said. Typical mage bullshit. He was still stuffing the last of his loot into his pack when he noticed that it was even more quiet than he had noticed before. So quiet that the ringing in his ears seemed an almost deafening roar.

Dark frowned, grunting, and then frowned more deeply. The grunt had not made any noise at all. He opened his mouth and barked a nondescript sound. Nothing. Now he was getting worried. He started tapping the side of his head, thinking he may have gone deaf in the fight. At that moment, he noticed movement in the trees. As the undergrowth silently parted he could see the vague shapes emerging from the forest. Boney shapes with misshapen features and horns, sinuous shapes with leathery wings, and even shambling forms that seemed to be wearing weapons on their bodies. As he looked closer he saw that their bodies were made of weapons.

"Shit," he said, or at least he thought he did. After all, he could not even hear it.

And the adventure didn't stop there! A mystical silence had fallen upon the Deep Forest of Farol. I could not even call my allies for aid. Without my armor I was left defenseless against the Thrashers, Daemon skeletons, and Narthyl Worms that now plagued the forest. I finally managed to run out to the Sweet Grass Prairie and sound the alarm.

Luckily Mithres and Drakey came to the call, and together we purged the forest of the evil, earning a few nice rewards in the process. A bonded purge long sword that Mithres picked up and a Jala herald I snagged were among the loot.

The adventure wasn't done there! Afterwards we found ourselves traveling to Castle Victoria, where an orc necromancer had called a nasty black spider, which spread its web across the bridge. If not for Mithres and his healing I would have surely died. One should not fight a super black spider naked I might add. Triple poison and stuck to webbing under it is just a recipe for disaster!

Once we vanquished the black spider and its queen (Rat mask dropped!) , we exited the Castle only to find that Ukgoth had been invaded by a diseased yeti and a horde of ice monsters. It was a hard battle, but the three of us won through, and Mithres even found a nice purge Neru on the yeti!

After hours of questing, the three adventurers took their piles of loot and went and had some mugs of stout at the Cibilo Creek inn, where Mayhem teleported everyone to join in on our revelry =).

Tons of fun! We also were rewarded with experience towards our next hit point. So don't forget to come out to the events.

HAIL MAYHEM for another epic event, and HAIL to Mithres and Drakey for pulling my ass out of the fire in the Forest of Farol, as well as out from under a big ass spider =P.

4/09/15 - Smuggler's Cache found!

The two chests that Mayhem hid deep in the bowels of M59 have been located! The Red Devils guild banded together and searched the entire world for these, and finally came across them after defeated the dreaded Lupogg King in his lair.

The search was a blast, we had a great time working as a team to locate these. Of course the Lupogg King lair and the Orc Pit Boss cave were the last places we looked!  Gas Mask, Cor Myr, Bud Heavy, Mithres, Tiki, and yours truly DarkEternis participated in the event.

Mithres was able to get a 3-sided prism out of the Orc's stash, and I came away with a durable plate and a jala necklace! Tons of reagents and other small prizes were also found.

Great job Red Devils, and thank you Mayhem for setting up the hunt!
